Q1: Which is the entrance test for applying to colleges in UK for admission?

Under the British education system, students undergo thirteen years of per-university education as opposed to twelve years in India.

For those who do not, as yet, have these qualifications, there is a range of access or foundation courses available. Foundation courses range from four months to a year. While applying the applicants must satisfy both general and course requirements for admissions.

A letter of acceptance from the institution confirming your place for the program in the institution
Financial documents as evidence that you can meet with the course fee structure and can support yourself during your stay.

Q3. What is the minimum IETS or TOEFL score required to get into a UK Institution?

Though the requirement is university specific, a minimum overall score of 6.0 for IELTS and 80 on the iBT TOEFL is sought by most of the universities.

Though most of the UK universities accept the Indian graduation system of three years for entry into most of the postgraduate courses with a completion of 15 years of education, some courses and universities may require a qualification equivalent to British Bachelor (Honours) Degree, which requires 16 years of formal education, which would mean another year after graduation or a four year degree course like B.E., B.Tech or other such courses.

An Indian bachelor degree like B.A., B.Com or B.Sc. is equivalent to a British Bachelor (Ordinary) Degree and for most Universities, a good first degree from a leading university in India or its equivalent is essential to apply for Masters in UK.

Q10. Why Study in UK? What are the benefits of studying in UK?

The UK education system offers a high degree of sophistication, a matchless charm, and above all, educational quality that's backed by centuries of tradition. The United Kingdom is just the right place to give your career that global edge.

Apart from the well-known Oxford and Cambridge, UK have a large number of other universities which rank among the best in the world and offer a wide range of courses.

While considering the education system prevalent worldwide, one major advantage of U.K. education for the international applicants is its one-year Masters Degree for almost all courses, saving considerable time and money. Also, unlike those in other countries, most UK universities recognize the system of 3 year graduation prevalent in most of the Asian countries.

Another factor that makes UK stand out in the crowd is the flexibility with the student visa. You are allowed to work 20 hours per week during studies and Full time during vacation.
